My spring collection is finally finished; the last piece is the “butterfly and flowers” design. I will be thinking of poetic names for the art, but have already designed the logo. Starting to do some research for a new group of illustrations, I have a lot of ideas…
Creating is an act of joy. Activating the audience’s visual senses and fueling their imaginations is the reason for my studio’s existence. I strive to produce art that has lasting interest by fine tuning the nuances of color, utilizing textures and engaging the viewer with lighthearted subject matter. As a proponent of collaborative ventures I […]

This was the most fun I have had in a while. On Saturday thirteen of us took an overnight trek on the Colorado Trail, and took eleven llamas with us to carry our gear and French wine. The trail head was outside of Salida, where we met up with the outfitter; we started by rounding […]
This is the next painting in the spring collection; again this is painted in acrylics with pastel accents. The painting is intended to hang in a girl’s room, or any other place where children congregate.
Time to work on the xeriscape again! These plants need limited water, which works really well in my semi-arid climate. Our growing season is rather short, so this is the time of year when seeds have to go in the ground.
Getting ready for the “Creative Connections” trade show on April 23 2009 3-7 pm at the Doubletree Denver Tech Center. I will be showing murals products, paintings on canvas and digital work, mostly for juvenile usage. This is the group’s first show, very exciting as we have so much talent in a variety of creative […]
Listened to Tara Reed interview Paul Brent about the business of licensing art while painting today. There is always more to learn about our rapidly changing field. I love the way technology helps artists stay in touch with the rest of the arts community.
This week is a time to think about love and how it impacts our lives; these are the things that I love. CREATING. I really love the process of starting with an idea and seeing my work on products a year later. SKIING. This sport has been a part of my life for many years […]
Coach Donna Feldman gave a wonderful speech based on the “Get Clients Now” book at the Creative Connection networking meeting in Denver last Friday. I have heard a lot of motivational speakers, but I liked the way Donna broke down the tasks into very small components, and got us started on a twenty eight day […]
Yesterday I attended a meeting for artists at the Denver Office Of cultural Affairs. The topic of the seminar was about future Public Art Projects and how to apply for them. I was very impressed with Mayor John Hickenlooper’s speech, and the city official’s positive attitude towards art in general. I am looking over the […]
This week I finally finished the “Birds in Tree” juvenile mural; I had so much fun working on this, that I am going to continue the theme throughout the room; just like working on a collection, it is interesting to expand on an idea. My house is becoming a showcase for my murals, and am […]
